| In the United States, two people are usually required for administration when performing nerve blockade; one person is doing the application, and the other person is assisting for injection. Performing the injection by an auxiliary person requires strict coordination, causing the resistance in the injector to not be felt by the practitioner. For this reason, frequent millilitre bolus injections are required to confirm and optimize local anesthetic spread, which leads to unnecessary injections. |
