| Alerjik reaksiyonlara neden olan maddelere, antijenlere “alerjen” denir. Bu maddeler solunum yolu ile alınabildiği gibi, ciltten temas ya da yiyecek şeklinde ağızdan da alınabilir. Bu maddelerin alerjik reaksiyon geliştirebilmesi için vücuda daha önceden girmiş olmaları gerekir. Yani vücudun bağışıklık sisteminin bu maddeyle daha önce karşılaşması ve bunlara duyarlı hale gelmesi gerekir. Daha sonraki karşılaşmalarda çok hızlı bir şekilde reaksiyonlar gelişir. Reaksiyon gelişiminden de vücuttaki mast hücrelerinin alerjenler aracılığı ile parçalanması ve içinden “histamin” denilen maddenin çıkması sorumludur. |

| Substances that cause allergic reactions, antigens, are called “allergens”. These substances can be taken by the respiratory tract, as well as by mouth in the form of skin contact or food. In order for these substances to develop an allergic reaction, they must have entered the body earlier. In other words, the body’s immune system should have encountered this substance earlier and become sensitive to them. In later encounters, reactions develop very quickly. The development of the reaction is also responsible for the breakdown of mast cells in the body through allergens and the emergence of a substance called “histamine”. |
