| Karnavala katılan yarışmacılar 14 okul içinde en iyisi olabilmek için bütün enerjilerini harcıyorlar. Gruplar ikiye ayrılıyor ve bir günde yedi grup Sambodrome’da geçiş yapıyor. Akşam 9’da başlayan geçişler sabah 6-7’ye kadar devam edebiliyor. Bir grubun geçişi ortalama 70 dakika sürüyor. Okullar bir konu seçiyorlar ve kostümleriyle, müzikleriyle, dekorlarıyla, figürleriyle bu konuyu yansıtıyorlar. Bunu en iyi yapan grup jüri değerlendirmesi sonucu birinci oluyor. Birinci olan okul para ödülünün sahibi oluyor ve en iyi samba okulu unvanını alıyor. |

| Contestants participating in the carnival spend all their energy to become the best in 14 schools. The groups are split into two, with seven groups switching at the sambodrome in one day. Passes that begin at 9 p.m. can continue until 6-7 a.m. A group’s passage takes an average of 70 minutes. Schools choose a subject and reflect that subject with their costumes, music, decor, figures. The group that does this best comes first as a result of the jury evaluation. The first school wins the prize money and gets the title of best samba school. |
